• The primary responsibility of the Receptionist is scheduling and assisting participants for one of our data collection projects taking place in Nairobi, Kenya.

Work Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate participant scheduling for study appointments
  • Handle phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries with professionalism
  • Maintain and update appointment calendars and participant records
  • Provide information and assistance to participants and visitors
  • Perform general administrative duties including data entry, filing, and preparing materials
  • Liaise with study staff to ensure smooth participant flow and efficient operations
  • Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards of the study

Job Requirements

  • Idiomatic fluency in Swahili
  • Advanced English
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification is a plus
  • Proven experience in scheduling, reception, or administrative roles
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management software
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload
  • Discretion with confidential information
