Job Description:
We are on the lookout for a detail-oriented and experienced Credit Administration Officer to become an integral part of our microfinance team. The successful candidate will be entrusted with overseeing the credit administration process, ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements, and actively contributing to the responsible provision of financial services to our valued clients.

Responsibilities:

-Monitor the loan book, maintaining compliance with set standards for Portfolio at Risk (PAR) and Non-Performing Loans (NPL).
-Prepare and dispatch repayment schedules to partner companies for checkoff deductions.
-Conduct diligent follow-ups on collections from both partner companies and individual loan clients.
-Dispatch loan repayment reminders for upcoming and overdue repayments.
-Collaborate with partner company Human Resource Managers on final dues for exited staff with outstanding balances.
-Collect and process cheques for repayments, working closely with the accountant.
-Actively promote top-up and repeat loans to contribute to the growth of the loan book.
-Prepare and submit comprehensive periodic reports to Senior Management, covering Collections Reports, Arrears Report, Expected Repayments Report, and Potential Top-up and Repeat Loans Report.
-Keep Senior Management informed and updated on the status of loan collections.
-Formulate and implement effective solutions for loan repayment and collections from delinquent accounts.
-Liaise with external debt collectors to track collections progress for accounts in default.
-Ensure strict compliance with company credit policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
-Provide valuable recommendations for improvements to enhance the overall quality of the loan book.
-Play a role in the ongoing improvement of the Credit Policy.

Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree in finance or a relevant course.
-Proven experience in loan collection and administration.
-In-depth understanding of credit risk assessment, loan documentation, and credit policies.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
-Proficient in report preparation and analysis.
-Detail-oriented with an unwavering commitment to accuracy.
-Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
-Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools for credit administration.
