Are you a passionate Trailer Technician committed to driving the business goals and objectives to meet the customers’ expectations within the right time? Are you committed and passionate to safe workshop operations and ethical practice? We are looking for someone with intermediate-level experience in trailer technical work and its operations. As a Trailer Technician you are expected to ensure safe, efficient, and effective repair and maintenance of own fleet trailers, and supporting sub-contracted vehicles on need basis to ensure high utilization, hence continuity in business operations and quality service to the company customers.

About The Role Key Duties And Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintenance of own fleet trailers, trucks, pickup and vans.
  • Inspection of sub-contracted fleet to statutory standards.
  • Representing DSC in a professional manner to customers.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping to eliminate workplace hazards.
  • Adhere to all DSC Health and safety rules and regulations and those of our clients.
  • Vehicle rescue, breakdown repair and recovery.
  • Vehicle testing after repairs.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair own fleet trailers.
  • Perform routine maintenance on trailers.
  • Complete repairs and rectify malfunctions.
  • Interact with drivers and provide them with an explanation of required work and an estimation of turnaround time.
  • Use different tools and equipment such as pneumatic wrenches, pressure gauges, screw drivers, hoist, jacks to repair trucks while constantly utilizing safety precautions.
  • Test drive vehicles after repair to ensure they are running properly.
  • Diagnose malfunctions using hand-held computers and owner’s manual to address problems.
