- The Inventory Assistant role entails overseeing receipt of material into the hub, validating material dispatches, ensuring received material is available to the sorting team in every shift.
- The holder of the role will also assist the Warehousing & Inventory Supervisor to manage inventory in the assigned region.
Tasks
- Receive, offload, verify source location, weigh, tag and transfer stock physically and in the system.
- Comply with daily stock take procedure, weekly and monthly stock reconciliation
- Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment at all times
- Efficient control of the flow and storage of plastic materials, update stock records, take physical stock daily and end-month
- Coordinating inventory transfers
- Controlling inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage systems, ensuring inventory accuracy at all levels.
- Work closely with the sourcing department to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Ensure implementation of 5S.
- Check and inspect goods received to ensure they are of accurate quantity, type and also acceptable quality.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety instructions, compliance with the policies, procedures of the Company and Work in a safe and orderly manner.
Requirements
- Minimum Qualification: Diploma in Business Administration or relevant course.
- At least 1 year experience working in a busy warehousing environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and inventory management
- Computer Literacy.
