DISPATCH & LOGISTICS SUPERVISOR – (1 Position)
Premier Foods Limited (PFL) is a leading food processing company in East Africa, manufacturing over 50 different products under various brand names, including, PEPTANG, PEP and ORCHID VALLEY. Our brands have been in use since 1935 and have become well known household names in the region.
We are looking to hire a Dispatch & Logistics Supervisor who will be based in Nairobi.
The Dispatch & Logistics Supervisor will ensure all goods are accounted for each shipment, supplies done as per the approved invoice and shipment is delivered in a timely manner. He or she will also lead the Outbound Team, develop and monitor the outbound efficiencies and innovate new ways to improve operations with the aim of achieving 100% customer fulfillment rate.
The main duties and responsibilities for this position entails: –
- Oversee order picking to ensure that goods are correctly picked as per the order before loading to the waiting delivery
- Oversee loading of the goods to trucks and sign off the invoices in-order to confirm that the goods are as per the order.
- Perform the role of an independent checker and ensure that dispatching of every order is done as per the book.
- Manage all routing modifications to ensure the Company is maximally utilizing equipment and employees
- Accurate daily accounting of the products dispatched to various customers as per daily
- Ensure that daily carriage cost and labour cost is within
- Develop, monitor and continuously improve the KPIs for achieving operational
- Work hand in hand with the security team and Loading Clerks and ensure that all goods in each consignment are accounted
- Liaise with Sales Team, Customers and the Outbound team to plan on deliveries as per route
- Ensure that all dispatch records are clearly kept and neatly filed for ease of
- Ensure safety practices of docked delivery
- Participate on continuous improvement activities at the outbound
- Ensure that daily carriage cost and labour cost is within Develop, monitor and continuously improve the KPIs for achieving operational excellence.
- Observe FIFO on daily basis in the store to eliminate losses due to aging
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: –
- BSc/BA in purchasing and supplies or relevant degree course
- At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing and at supervisory level
- Warehouse and logistics management experience
