About the Role
As a Depot Clerk – DOC at KENCHIC, you play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our depots and one-stop shops. Your responsibilities include maintaining an efficient flow of Day-Old Chicks (D.O.C) and veterinary products, accurate record-keeping, and contributing to overall operational efficiency.
Job Responsibilities
3.1 Achieving Sales Targets
To contribute to the company’s profitability, you’ll be tasked with achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual chicks’ sales targets. This includes promoting complementary products supplied by KENCHIC within your operational area.
3.2 Efficient Order Management
Your role guarantees accurate chicks’ order processes, from taking and booking to receiving confirmation, dispatch, and timely delivery to customers. This ensures a seamless customer experience.
3.3 Credit Control and Documentation
Assisting the Regional Manager in credit control, you’ll notify the Regional Manager when credit limits or periods surpass recommendations. Additionally, you’ll ensure proper documentation of accounting documents, maintaining transparency and compliance.
3.4 Customer Relationship Management
Building strong customer relationships is a key aspect of your role. This includes liaising with the Regional Manager to prepare customer lists and forward them promptly and managing customer complaints to resolution.
Managing Resources Effectively
4.1 Funds, Materials, and Equipment
Efficient funds, materials, and equipment management is essential for maximizing organizational assets. Your responsibility includes secure handling and optimal use of these resources.
4.2 Premises Maintenance
Ensuring the cleanliness and presentability of the Poultry Center premises, including customer lounges and chick rooms, adds to the overall positive customer experience.
Compliance and Continuous Improvement
5.1 Policy Adherence
Your commitment to ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and statutory requirements contributes to the organization’s ethical and legal standing.
5.2 Control Systems Enhancement
Maintaining and improving control systems and procedures, including inventory management, stock movement, order processing, and dispatching, is vital for operational excellence.
5.3 Hygienic Office Environment
Creating and maintaining a clean, tidy, and hygienic office environment demonstrates your dedication to quality and professionalism.
Candidate’s Profile
6.1 Educational Background
A diploma/degree in Animal Science, Animal Production, or Animal Health is required for this role. A professional certification in Marketing is an added advantage.
6.2 Experience and Certifications
A minimum of 1 year of work experience in a customer technical support role/Depot clerk in the poultry industry is essential. Computer knowledge is also a prerequisite.
6.3 Technical Skills
Your proficiency in computer usage is crucial for efficient data input, contributing to the overall technological advancement of the organization.
