Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid Credit Controller role located in Nairobi County, Kenya with flexibility for some remote work. The Credit Controller will manage customer accounts, track and collect payments, allocate payments, and reconcile accounts. This role will also work closely with other departments to resolve disputes and ensure timely payment processing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- At least two years of experience in credit control management or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software tools
- Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
- Knowledge of credit control regulations and procedures
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and thoroughly understand data protection
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Key Performance Indicators
Days Sales Outstanding (DSO):
Monitor and reduce the average number of days it takes to collect outstanding payments from insurers and third-party payers.
Collection Effectiveness Index (CEI):
Measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the collections process by tracking the percentage of outstanding debt collected from insurers and third-party payers.
Bad Debt Ratio:
Minimize the percentage of uncollectible debt by implementing effective credit control strategies and proactive collections management.
Reconciliation Accuracy:
Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of payments with insurers and medical service providers to maintain financial integrity and avoid outstanding debt or credit.
Customer Satisfaction:
Measure satisfaction levels of insurers and third-party payers with the credit and collections process by soliciting feedback and addressing concerns promptly.
