We are looking for a highly qualified professional with the energy and commitment to develop and grow in a dynamic
organization alongside passionate and dedicated colleagues. Reporting to the Manager: People, Organisation &
Culture, the candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day HR support across the organization as part of the
HR & Administration function in relation to recruitment, manpower management, staff motivation and productivity,
and other administrative duties for Mr. Green Africa employees (as necessary) in compliance with statutory
obligations and best practice, specifically in relation to seasonal and casual employees and productivity.
This is a fast‐paced role and requires the candidate to be proactive and demonstrate a high degree of leadership,
flexibility and initiative.
Tasks
1. Recruitment of production personnel including seasonal and casual workers.
2. Providing confidential advice and assistance to entry-level employees.
3. Assisting with preparations for disciplinary and grievance hearings as necessary.
4. Managing and maintaining contracts, personnel files and other employee information.
5. Coordinating and administering staff training and development of all seasonal workers.
6. Providing administrative support as required in conducting engagement surveys, change management and
working culture environment.
7. Implement the safety policies, guidelines and procedures as set out by safety standards.
8. Create engagement programs for seasonal workers to foster employee participation.
9. Interact with seasonal workers on a regular basis to ensure that grievances or complaints are handled in a
timely manner.
10. Consolidate all casuals and seasonal staff payroll for approvals on a weekly and monthly basis .
11. Tracking and managing cost of labor throughout the value chain and ensuring highest productivity.
12. Regulate utilization of seasonal workers to ensure that the cost of labor is managed within the set targets.
13. Manage time and attendance for all seasonal workers.
14. Any other duties as assigned by your supervisor
Requirements
- Degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Proven experience as an HR Assistant or relevant Human Resource/administrative position.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS or HRMS.
- Knowledge of Employment laws and best practice
