About the Nairobi County Performance Management Project |
Dalberg, in collaboration with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Nairobi County, aims to implement the Nairobi County Performance Management (NCPM) project. The project aims to support Nairobi County to improve its delivery of health services through stronger performance and accountability across its entire continuum of care. Through data-driven decision-making, better and targeted supportive supervision, mentoring, coaching, and oversight, we aim to achieve better facility performance in the delivery of health care and enhanced patient/client experience.
This 2.5-year program is seen as a key intervention towards achieving the broader Nairobi County health objectives of ensuring that all residents have access to high-quality health services that are delivered consistently, without creating undue financial hardship, and that deliver both patient/provider satisfaction as well as improved outcomes for key health conditions.

We are seeking a Project officer focused on Data Analytics and Database Management to join the Dalberg team for the Nairobi County Performance Management (NCPM) project. The officer will play a key role in developing and implementing systems aimed at improving data-driven decision-making to enhance delivery of health services within the Nairobi County. Data Analytics:

- Utilize advanced analytics tools and techniques to extract actionable insights from complex datasets.
Frontend Development:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop dashboards for real-time data visualization.
Database Management:

- Design and manage databases to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security.
- Develop and implement data quality assurance processes and protocols.
Reporting:

- Generate and present regular reports on key performance metrics to inform decision-making.
- Develop and maintain a reporting infrastructure that provides timely and relevant information to stakeholders.
MEL and Capacity Building:

- Provide training and support to staff on data analytics tools and methodologies.
- Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement by incorporating MEL principles into organizational processes.
Stakeholder Engagement:

- Assist in organizing and facilitating meetings, workshops, and stakeholder consultations
- Cultivate positive relationships with project partners, including government authorities, healthcare facilities, and community stakeholders.
Adaptability and Problem-Solving:

Knowledge Management
- Develop and implement robust strategies for capturing, organizing, and distributing knowledge assets related to data analytics, database management, and health service delivery.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to capture tacit knowledge and best practices.
- Implement systems to ensure the efficient recording and documentation of critical information.
Qualifications |
|
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, along with at least five years of experience in data analytics and database management.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python or R, SQL, and JavaScript.
- Proficiency in frontend frameworks such as React, Next, or Vite.
- Strong database management skills and experience with tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated expertise in project coordination and stakeholder management, particularly within the government sector.
- Strong organizational capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Understanding of Knowledge Management Tools: Demonstrate a strong understanding of knowledge management tools, principles, and best practices to effectively implement KM strategies within the project.
- Familiarity with healthcare systems and public service delivery in Nairobi County is a plus.
