Roles and Responsibilities of Field Sales Representatives
Identifying New Markets and Lead Conversion
Field Sales Representatives will be responsible for scouting and tapping into new markets while effectively converting leads into sales. This involves keen market analysis and strategic planning.
Territory Sales Plan Implementation
Aligning with the Marketing and Sales departments, the chosen candidates will execute a sales plan to meet or exceed the company’s sales goals.
Database Maintenance and Sales Reporting
Ensuring an updated Salesforce database is essential for documenting sales call information, tracking trends, setting future call objectives, sampling data, and analyzing overall territory performance.
Generating Sales Leads and Cold Calling
The role requires proactively seeking sales opportunities through online research, industry networking, and cold calling potential clients.
Providing Customer Feedback
Field Sales Representatives will offer valuable customer feedback to the management team. This feedback assists in decision-making processes regarding pricing, contracts, new product development, and quality issues.
Qualifications and Requirements for the Position
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing, Journalism and Communication, Branding and PR, or any business-related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office would be an added advantage.
