The OECD Young Associates Programme (YAP) offers a two-year professional experience tailored for recent undergraduates, acting as a stepping stone for future postgraduate studies at renowned universities.
Programme Overview: Embark on an exciting journey at the forefront of public policy development and analysis. The YAP spans 24 months, providing exposure to diverse research and analytical work across major policy areas. The primary goal is to prepare outstanding undergraduates for their upcoming postgraduate studies. Successful candidates will articulate their motivation to leverage their OECD experience for pursuing a Master’s degree or PhD.
A pivotal aspect of the program is mentorship. Young Associates will benefit from close mentorship by experienced managers, selected for their professional expertise and ability to nurture and challenge young talents.
Eligibility:Â Candidates for the YAP 2024-2026 round must:
- Hold a Bachelor’s or equivalent degree with a graduation date between January 1, 2023, and September 1, 2024.
- Be a national of an OECD Member country.
- Demonstrate academic excellence with a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
- Exhibit teamwork capabilities.
- Have fluency in English or French, with a commitment to reaching a good working level in the other language.

Salary and Benefits:
- Monthly salary of approximately 3,700 EUR.
- Leaving allowance of approximately 19,000 EUR.
- Additional allowances for medical insurance, expatriation, home leave, installation, removal expenses, and airline tickets.
Selection Process and Timeline (YAP 2024-2026):
- November 22, 2023: Positions posted, and applications accepted.
- December 21, 2023: Application deadline.
- January 2024: Screening of applications and contact with retained candidates.
- January-March 2024: Candidate assessments.
- March 2024: Final interviews and/or written assessments.
- April 2024: Final selections and employment offers.
- September 2024: Young Associates commence duty in Paris, France.
