Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Procurement Officer. The role is located in Nairobi County, Kenya.
The Responsibilities will be as follows:
- Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services and supplies.
- Following and enforcing the company’s procurement policies and procedures.
- Reviewing, comparing, and analysing products and services to be purchased based on prices, quality and applicability
- Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records
- Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges
- Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts
- Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers
- Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports
- Develop sourcing strategies
- Cost saving budgeting and targeting
- Payment terms negotiation, optimization, and management
The Applicant should have the following qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a construction company – REQUIRED
- Previous experience in procurement and supply chain management with a company located in Nairobi – REQUIRED
- In-depth knowledge of procurement strategies and price negotiations
- Independent self-starter with attention to detail and a strong personality
- Possesses integrity and ability to maintain accurate and confidential records
- Adaptable, flexible, able to take initiative and prioritise among competing demands
- Bachelors degree in commerce – procurement.
Salary is negotiable depending on Applicant’s experience.
