The primary job function of the CCTV Control Room Operator is to ensure safety and security of the people, product, cash and property within the premises via surveillance of the CCTV Network. The person shall be responsible for monitoring and documenting inconsistencies that pertain to the safety and security of employees, facilities, product, cash and property.
Scope of Service
Operations
- Inform (without delay) to the proper personnel of any missing, damaged, or inoperative equipment or communications, alarm, CCTV, or other systems
- Handle (without delay) complaints and unusual/critical event information to the Security Team
- Review login/Logout of Shops alarms/arming systems
- Reviewing and / play-back of footage in the event of any investigation
- Monitor conduct of persons in sensitive areas such as cash till, shop floor, back office, warehouse, stock room, etc. and report the same to Administration Manager in order to control theft, misuse, damage and corruption in the Company.
- Limited simple maintenance of the CCTV control room equipment.
- Review Delivery/Transportation of Units (Timing- Departure from warehouse and arrival to shops) and report any inconsistency
Reporting
- Recording of all occurrences incidents in the security occurrence book and provides occurrence reports at the end of day/shift on activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, entry and presence of unauthorized persons to restricted areas and other, or unusual occurrences in the business premises.
- Controller protects and ensures proper use of all CCTV/ Control room equipment.
- Submission of regular reports (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, And Annually, etc.)
- Provide monitoring and coverage of events and activations taking place in the company’s business premises.
- Provide detailed reports on the special assignments/events after completion

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Security Studies OR Information Technology
- Knowledge of Basic Networking.
- At least 3-4 years proven experience in operating CCTV equipment and Video Management Software(s) (VMS)
- Experience and understanding of day to day security operations
- Experience in a retail and warehousing environment is also an added advantage.
- Advanced computer skills and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Maintain confidentiality of company information and pertinent data/reports from the control room.
- Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
- Ability to multi-task, discerns patterns in detail; Observant and skilled at interpreting people body language and expressions.
- Ability to speak clearly, give direction, and provide guidance to employees and security staff during emergencies
- Ability to think through problems for logical solutions, and remain calm and professional under stress
