- Our client a leading Steak house Restaurant located in Nairobi is seeking to hire an Sous chef who will be responsible for creating extraordinary dining experiences and a proven track record of leading a kitchen to new heights .The ideal candidate has a strong passion for culinary excellence and a keen eye for detail. You will assist the Executive Chef in providing exceptional food quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire a team of culinary professionals to deliver top-notch dining experiences.
- Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring impeccable food quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Develop and update menus that showcase creativity, innovation, and a passion for exceptional cuisine.
- Collaborate with suppliers to source the finest and freshest ingredients.
- Implement and maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Oversee and assist the kitchen staff in all aspects of food production
- Evaluate food products to ensure consistent quality standards
- Establish and maintain a regular maintenance schedule for all kitchen areas and equipment
- Provide training and professional development opportunities for all kitchen staff
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chef in a high-end restaurant setting.
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification.
- Passion for creating and implementing innovative culinary concepts.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional organizational and communication abilities.
