Responsibilities:
– Provide personal care assistance to clients in their homes or assisted living facilities
– Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
– Help with mobility and transfers, including using assistive devices and techniques
– Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
– Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as tidying up living areas and doing laundry
– Provide companionship and engage in conversation with clients
– Monitor and report any changes in client’s condition or behavior to the appropriate supervisor
Qualifications:
– Previous experience in a similar role preferred, but not required
– Compassionate and caring attitude towards others
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to follow instructions and work independently
– Reliable transportation to travel to client’s homes or facilities
Skills:
– Knowledge of basic personal care techniques and procedures
– Understanding of safety precautions when assisting clients with mobility or transfers
– Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect client’s privacy
– Patience and empathy when working with individuals who may have physical or cognitive limitations
– Good time management skills to ensure all tasks are completed within designated timeframes
