Job Brief Overview:
- The Finance Officer is responsible for ensuring timely, efficient and effective processing of accounting and financial management transactions of the organization.
- In addition, the Finance Officer will support the management in implementing the finance and accounting strategies, internal controls and enforcement of policies, procedures as well as generation of information for decision making.
Key Attributes and Qualifications:
- An Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of progressive experience in the non-profit sector in Finance, Accounting & Grants Management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software with a bias in Ms. Excel, PDF and other collaboration tools and preferably having a working knowledge in ERP systems
- Should be willing, ready and able to perform other duties as delegated to him/her by the supervisor while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
- Demonstrable planning, organisational, coordination, interpersonal, presentation, oral and written communication, attentive to details, proactiveness, problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimum supervision.
- The ability to grasp and utilize new concepts or methods quickly is important.
