Position:                 Site Data Clerk

Supervisor:            Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Advisor

Location:                Migori and Busia Counties, Kenya

Number Required: 43 (18 Migori and 25 Busia)

Overall, Purpose:To support spray field mobile data collection, train and mentor field teams and continuously troubleshoot mobile devices throughout the campaign.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Set-up of mobile DHIS-2 application before training and before the
  • Training and mentorship of spray operators and team
  • Duplicates
  • Review insecticide serialization/database reports and support error
  • Review GPS data capture and Household Head details
  • Entry of all data collected using paper.
  • Ensure that sprayer operators have correct list of geographies to use every morning before departure to
  • Work together with sprayer operators and team leaders to verify data for correctness, completeness, and validity before syncing data on mobile DHIS-2 daily.
  • Ensure that team leaders summarize data daily and submit the same to AMEE database.
  • Conduct data collection verification (DCV) in the structures assigned to ensure quality
  • Continuously support troubleshooting of
  • Ensure documentation of issuance and return of all mobile devices at the site
  • Fully charge devices to 100% each end of day.
  • Retrieval of phones and clearance post
  • Syncing of all data in the phone’s post campaign.

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Training in Biostatistics, Statistics, Data Science, Public Health, Epidemiology, Computer Science or IT or any other numeric or computer related course with experience in M&E and or research. Minimum educational requirements:
  • Degree + 2 years of relevant work experience (where 1 year in IRS is a preferred advantage) OR
  • Higher National Diploma+ 2 years of relevant work experience (where 1 year in IRS is a preferred advantage) OR
  • Diploma + 6 years of relevant work experience (where 1 year in IRS is a preferred advantage)
  • 1 year experience desirable in data entry and supervision of data teams
  • 1 years’ experience in an MEL role will be a
  • Familiarity with DHIS-2 is
  • Experience working with mobile data collection systems a
  • Additional professional training in data entry
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and database software

Desirable

  • Willingness to reside within the County of
  • Ability to work with minimal
  • Willingness to work for 6 days in a week (Monday to Saturday)
  • Ability to work as a team player in an environment of high daily
