Position: Site Data Clerk
Supervisor: Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Advisor
Location: Migori and Busia Counties, Kenya
Number Required: 43 (18 Migori and 25 Busia)
Overall, Purpose:To support spray field mobile data collection, train and mentor field teams and continuously troubleshoot mobile devices throughout the campaign.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Set-up of mobile DHIS-2 application before training and before the
- Training and mentorship of spray operators and team
- Duplicates
- Review insecticide serialization/database reports and support error
- Review GPS data capture and Household Head details
- Entry of all data collected using paper.
- Ensure that sprayer operators have correct list of geographies to use every morning before departure to
- Work together with sprayer operators and team leaders to verify data for correctness, completeness, and validity before syncing data on mobile DHIS-2 daily.
- Ensure that team leaders summarize data daily and submit the same to AMEE database.
- Conduct data collection verification (DCV) in the structures assigned to ensure quality
- Continuously support troubleshooting of
- Ensure documentation of issuance and return of all mobile devices at the site
- Fully charge devices to 100% each end of day.
- Retrieval of phones and clearance post
- Syncing of all data in the phone’s post campaign.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Training in Biostatistics, Statistics, Data Science, Public Health, Epidemiology, Computer Science or IT or any other numeric or computer related course with experience in M&E and or research. Minimum educational requirements:
- Degree + 2 years of relevant work experience (where 1 year in IRS is a preferred advantage) OR
- Higher National Diploma+ 2 years of relevant work experience (where 1 year in IRS is a preferred advantage) OR
- Diploma + 6 years of relevant work experience (where 1 year in IRS is a preferred advantage)
- 1 year experience desirable in data entry and supervision of data teams
- 1 years’ experience in an MEL role will be a
- Familiarity with DHIS-2 is
- Experience working with mobile data collection systems a
- Additional professional training in data entry
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and database software
