Role Overview
As a Marketing Intern at Workpay, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our marketing team to support various activities. This is a 3-6 month internship that will provide hands-on experience and the chance to contribute to marketing initiatives while learning in a fast-paced startup environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Completing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, Communication, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation.
- Basic understanding of marketing principles and concepts.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides etc) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Enthusiastic and eager to learn about technology industry trends.
Areas of Learning & Responsibility
- Content Creation: Assist in drafting engaging and informative blog posts, articles, and social media content.
- Social Media Management: Assist in managing, updating, and monitoring our social media channels for engagement; respond to comments; and help grow our online community.
- Email Marketing: Assist in maintaining the email subscriber list and segmenting contacts for targeted messaging, as well as the creation and distribution of email campaigns to promote company updates, products, and events.
- Event Coordination: Assist in planning, organizing, and promoting company events, webinars, and workshops. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful event execution.
- Administrative Support: Assist in various administrative tasks such as organizing marketing materials, updating databases, and coordinating meetings.
