Kisii University is the 13th Public university located in the South Western part of Kenya in Kisii County chartered in February 2013 through
Government Legal Notice Number 225.
The University seeks to fill vacancies in the following positions
Adjunct Lecturers in:
i.
Human Anatomy (1 position)
ii.
Human Pathology (2 positions)
iii.
Internal Medicine (1 position)
iv.
General Surgery (1 position)
V.
vi.
Obstetrics and gynaecology (1 position) Clinical Medicine (1 position)
vii.
Pharmaceutical Chemistry (1 position)
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach and examine students in their area of specialization both undergraduate and post graduate students
• Introduce and evaluate practical reports for courses with a practical component.
• Participate in Clinical duties at KTRH (University teaching hospital).
Engage in Research activities and community outreach. • Participate in curriculum development.
Engage in academic program assessment and reviews. Fulfill any other duties as assigned from time to time by the respective Chair of department in the School of Health Sciences.
Minimum Educational Qualifications and Professional Experience:
MBChB or its equivalent from a recognized University
• Master of Science degree in the relevant field from a recognized University
• A PhD. in a relevant discipline will be an added advantage.
• Previous teaching experience is preferred.
• Must be registered by relevant professional body.
Personal Attributes & Competencies:
• Proficient in computer skills.
• Self-motivated and highly disciplined.
• Possess excellent command of the subject area, including adept lesson planning.
•Capable of managing ambiguity and emotions.
• Adaptability to technological changes.
• Excellent communication, listening, and mediation skills.
• Strong in fundraising and grants writing abilities.
• Demonstrates outstanding presentation and research writing skills.
