Your Role
As a Fiction Writer (Ghostwriter) at Webtale, you will have the opportunity to unleash your creativity and craft compelling webnovels across a range of genres, with the option to pick a genre that best suits your interests.
Your role as a ghostwriter will involve close collaboration with an experienced editor and/or author to convert webnovel notes (synopsis, chapter outlines, character profiles, maps and encylopedias and so on) into well-written and entertaining prose.
You will be expected to write at least 30 chapters month. However, consideration will be given for personal circumstances that may interrupt a steady schedule, and more experienced ghostwriters can request to write at a slower pace.
This is a junior-level position ideal for writers who have obvious talent but may lack experience or a clear path into full-time fiction writing. With our team you can hone your craft and have an opportunity to pitch your own ideas for serialization, wherein you retain the rights to profit sharing and related royalties.
Your Responsibilities
- Write and edit serialized fiction in various genres, maintaining consistent quality and style.
- Meet deadlines for chapter submissions and ensure content is engaging and immersive.
- Revise and improve your work based on feedback from our editorial team.
- Stay up-to-date with genre trends and reader preferences to create content that resonates with our audience.
- Collaborate with our team to brainstorm and develop original webnovel ideas.
Your Qualifications
- Be an avid reader of serialized fiction (webnovels / light novels, webcomics / manga.
- Undergraduate degree in any communications field (preffered but not required).
- At least one year of experience writing professionally (can include blogging, social media marketing or other communication fields).
- At least one sample of your fiction writing (1500 words minimum).
