Job Summary: Responsible for planning and professional performance of Information Systems audit assignments and any other project as provided for in the overall Internal Audit plan.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
1. Performing individual Internal Audit projects, as part of implementing the overall Internal Audit Plan.
2. Development of scope and performance of Information Systems audits, both technical and enduser across the Sacco’s Operations in line with Internal Audit Methodology, processes, procedures, and timeframes and preparation of Audit reports.
3. Provide support to the Head of Internal Audit in coordinating the affairs of the Audit Committee including providing information required for preparation of quarterly committee reports.
4. Performs general and application control reviews for simple to complex Information Systems.
5. Maximizes use of Computer Assisted Audit tools deployed by the Sacco.
6. Performs special Audits and Investigations as and when called upon.
7. Championing Internal Control, Risk Management and Corporate Governance concepts.
8. Performs any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Person Specifications:
Academic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent.
Professional Qualifications:
▪ Professional certification in Information Technology Audit, Risk, or Security e.g., CISM, CISSP, CISA or CRISC required.
▪ Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner, and related qualifications will be an added advantage.
Experience: Five (5) years relevant experience. Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:
▪ Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of management.
▪ Excellent report writing skills.
▪ Strong Business and Financial Analytical skills 2
▪ Knowledge of computerized audit techniques

▪ Submission of accurate, timely and relevant reports. .
▪ Compliance with quality standards in all assignments undertaken.
