About the job

The Tech Team is at the core of what we do. We have a brilliant development team which is obsessed with creating great code, designing and building great products. This means that the team has less time to focus on the implementation, maintenance and smooth running of internal computer systems, including software tools and services, and devices and company hardware equipment. We are looking for someone who is passionate about building processes and deploying systems to support our IT infrastructure; including tools to support remote teams and projects across multiple markets, tools and processes to secure our data, and backup systems and/or services. Someone who will build these from scratch, make sure they are implemented and best practice is followed. Either you love it or you hate it.

Tasks

  • Developing and overseeing the IT budget
  • Planning, deploying and maintaining IT systems and operations
  • Developing IT policies, procedures and best practices
  • Staying updated on IT trends and emerging technologies
  • Developing and enforcing IT best practices across the organization
  • Ensuring IT strategies and processes support company-wide goals
  • overseeing relationships with vendors, hosting providers and and other IT related service providers
  • Support and maintain company hosting infrastructure
  • Manage IT related SLAs
  • Manage IT subscriptions and insure costs are optimized
  • Steering compliance processes for our solutions
  • Manage security processes

Requirements

  • The IT Support should add value by having knowledge of best tools to use, deploy and maintain tools to support remote teams, and projects across multiple markets.
  • It would be an advantage if the IT Support has worked in companies providing embedded finance, payment solutions, digital banking, FinTech etc as a B2B model.

Hiring Criteria

  • Strictly 3 to 5 years of experience in deploying tech solutions or IT support for clients across an array of hardware, networking, mobile devices, and operating systems.
  • Startup experience, or experience in a small to medium sized IT consulting company is desired.
  • Certifications in either, Google IT Support Certificate, CompTIA A+ , CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), ITIL Foundation Certification is an added advantage
  • A willingness to travel
  • The candidate should be located in Kenya
  • The candidate will be paid in local currency
