About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backend Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building and maintaining microservices.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance microservices using best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement APIs based on SOAP and REST protocols.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, ensuring code quality through TDD.
- Utilize AWS services to deploy and manage microservices in a cloud environment.
- Integrate with messaging systems like RabbitMQ and Kafka for efficient and reliable data exchange.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to microservices, APIs, and messaging systems.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to backend development.
Required skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Backend Engineer, with a focus on microservices architecture.
- Strong proficiency in API development using SOAP and REST protocols.
- Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles and experience in writing unit tests.
- Familiarity with AWS services, including Lambda functions, EC2, S3, and RDS.
- Experience with messaging systems like RabbitMQ and Kafka is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Nice to have skills:
- AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
- Experience with serverless architecture using AWS Lambda.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
