IT Intern – Information Technology (ICT Department)

Job Description:
As an IT intern at RentCloud, you’ll have the chance to immerse yourself in real-world application development and collaborate with the Tech team to enhance our PMS application and other software development projects, focusing on features, integrations, and optimisation. From version control to cloud deployment, you’ll gain practical skills in a supportive environment.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Java and Java frameworks, specifically SpringBoot
- Experience developing web-based applications with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Proficient in JavaScript frameworks, specifically VueJs
- Demonstrable skills in SpringBoot and VueJs, showcased through personal projects or coursework.
- Familiarity with version control platforms, particularly GitHub, to manage codebase effectively.
- Experience with cloud deployment using platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of APIs and integrations, including MPESA and Bank APIs for seamless transaction processing, including documentation with Swagger.
- Ability to schedule tasks using Quartz Scheduler or similar tools.
- Exposure to bulk SMS services and their integration within applications.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or recent graduate).
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently.
