Location: Nairobi

Occasional in-country travel to support programme implementation and/or oversee activities may be required for the position.

SalaryKES 150,320 gross monthly​

Contract: This is a Maternity Leave cover role and is available on a Fixed Term Contract for services from November 2023 Until March 2024.

Programme Administrative and Finance Assistant – Kenya

The Programme Administrative and Finance Assistant (PAFA) will provide support to the Kenyan team in the delivery of programme activities and assist for local financial transactions.

Under the direction of the Country Director, the PAFA will provide administrative and financial support to the programme team, including managing and recording transactions of the local office for reimbursement, monthly bank reconciliation, and supporting administration affairs such as scheduling travel plans, systems, and processes managements, contacting/contracting with suppliers, and stationery maintenance and general administrative supports for other areas.

The core skills and experience we are looking for are;

• A university degree or equivalent qualification in finance, accounting, political science, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in managing bank accounts, financial transactions, supplier communication, and logistical support within a similar role or environment.
• Experience in working with international organisations, foreign affairs, public relations, accounting or consulting firm is a plus.
• Fluency in English and Swahili, both written and spoken.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Self-motivated and effectively plan and organise own workloads.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft 365 suite of Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Dynamics)
• Ability to work with a diverse and multi-disciplinary team.
