Title: Finance Intern

Reporting to: Finance Manager

Location: Nairobi

We are seeking to hire a finance Intern temporarily for about four months to play a crucial role in successful rolling over of our new ERP system from the current one we are using. The main role of the intern will be to help capture data in both systems and review the integrity of the system by reconciling all the ledgers and generating reports in both systems.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing proforma invoices in both systems and ensuring they tally.

Release Instructions in both systems.

Preparing PO in both systems and ensuring they tally.

Prepare payment vouchers and reconciliation of payments in both systems.

Posting supplier payments and allocations in both systems

Receiving Invoices & recording(suppliers) in both systems

Allocation of supplier A/Cs in both systems

Preparing customer invoices pending dispatch in both systems and ensuring they tally and match customer local purchase order.

Posting petty cash, IOU and & Reimbursement

Filing of accounts payables, IOU, and petty cash.

Sending Invoices to customers.

Filing delivery notes for goods received without an invoice.

Any other additional roles you may be required to support from time to time

Skills and Qualifications

·        Certified Public Accountant (Minimum of CPA 4)

. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field will be an added advantage.

·        3months to 1 year of proven experience in a similar role

·        Solid knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.

·        Proficiency in using accounting software and financial management systems.

·        Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.

·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to reconcile financial discrepancies and identify process improvements. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information.
