Electrical Project Intern
Water Mission seeks to engage project interns with specialisations in Plumbing, Masonry and an electrician for some projects within Makueni area.
Job description:
The successful candidate will be directly attached to the technician. He/She will be charged with but not limited to the following tasks:
Electrical installation
- Under the guidance of the technician, carry out general electrical installations.
- Assembling, evaluating, testing and maintaining electrical equipment
- At least one year of practical/field experience in solar power sizing and installation, as well as submersible and surface pump installation. (Interviews will involve on-site practical drills.)
- Willingness to work during odd hours, late in the evening and early in the morning.
- Available during the entire period of project implementation, estimated at four months.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Attention to detail and excellence.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret technical drawings.
- Possess a smart phone for ease of communication and reporting to the technician.
- Willingness to ride and walk long distances around the project.
- Good knowledge of the project area, a native of the Makueni area is preferred.
- Demonstrate growing Christian faith.
- Minimum certificate in electrical engineering.
Plumbing Project Intern
Job description:
The successful candidate will be directly attached to the technician. He/She will be charged with but not limited to the following tasks:
Plumber
- Practical/field experience of not less than 1 year in plumbing works (interviews to include practical drills on site
- Must have experience in doing plumbing work using HDPE, PVC and GI pipes work accurately and plumb.
- Be able to Install, repair, and maintain pipes and fittings.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret technical drawings.
- Possess a smart phone for ease of communication and reporting to the technician.
- Willingness to work during odd ours, late in the evening and early in the morning.
- Available during the entire period of project implementation, estimated at four months.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Attention to detail and excellence.
- Willingness to ride and walk long distances around the project.
- Good knowledge of the project area, a native of the Makueni area is preferred.
- The minimum requirement is a certificate in plumbing.
- Demonstrate growing Christian faith.
Masonry Project Intern
Job description:
The successful candidate will be directly attached to the technician. He/She will be charged with but not limited to the following tasks:
- Minimum of certificate in masonry.
- Practical/field experience of not less than 1 year (interviews to include practical drills on site
- Ensure tools and workplace are well maintained.
- Ensure mixing cement, sand, gravel, and mortar is of right ratios.
- Ensure daily materials are well recorded and kept.
- Be able to accurately confirm the right quality materials as specified by water mission.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret technical drawings.
- Possess a smart phone for ease of communication and reporting to the technician.
- Willingness to work during odd ours, late in the evening and early in the morning.
- Available during the entire period of project implementation, estimated at four months.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Attention to detail and excellence.
- Good communication skills.
- Good knowledge of the project area, a native of the Makueni area is preferred.
- Demonstrate growing Christian faith.
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes and fittings.
