Job Purpose:
Our client, the Embassy of Sweden seeks to recruit an experienced and focused Driver to the Embassy’s Administrative and Consular section. The ideal candidate should be a good team player with a high level of integrity. The candidate must hold the ability to prioritize and work efficiently under high workload. The drivers work as a team of three together with the receptionist and local security officer within the administrative section of the Embassy. The team serves the entire Embassy with driving orders, messenger services and other appropriate tasks. The drivers work on a rotational duty scheme for evenings and weekends. Occasionally travelling within Kenya is necessary.

The Embassy represents and advances Swedish policies, interests and values in political and economic relations, development cooperation, trade and investment promotion and cultural and information matters. It provides consular services to Swedish nationals and migration services to non-nationals.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Drive Embassy officials and other authorized passengers on official duty
- Responsible for daily caretaking and maintenance of allocated vehicles
- Messenger duties and other duties in the reception
- Collect, distribute mail and carry out errands
- Other tasks as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- O Level Certificate or KCSE Certificate
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Swahili
- Clean driving license and current Certificate of Good Conduct
- Minimum 5 years of driving experience in and outside Nairobi
- Proven experience of driving armored vehicles
- Proven defensive and evasive driving skills
- Team player
- Ability to carry a process forward, follow up and finalize tasks.
- Experience working in an Embassy, NGO or International Organization.
- Flexible approach and service oriented.
