SALES & MARKETING EXECUTIVE
A leading print media entity is looking for proactive sales and marketing executives with experience in media sales to successfully promote and boost the readership of its magazine.
Job Description:
The key role of the Sales and Marketing Executive of the Magazine will be; strategic planning, sales and marketing and client relationship management. The objective of the incumbent is to increase revenues streams through subscriptions and sale of magazines.
Responsibilities
1. Advertising and Promotion of the magazine by developing and implementing marketing strategies, including but not limited to digital/e-marketing.
2. Subscription sales: Developing and implementing subscription acquisition strategies to increase magazine readership.
3. Content promotion: Collaborate with the editorial team to identify compelling and engaging high quality content
4. Branding and Positioning: Work closely with the creative team to develop a strong brand identity for the magazine.
5. Market research, analysis and monitoring: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, reader preferences and analysis of market data.
6. Events and partnerships: Organize and participate in events, trade shows, and industry conferences to promote the magazine and establish connections with potential readers and advertisers.
7. Customer relationship management: Handling customer inquiries, complaints and feedback promptly and professionally to ensure customer loyalty and retention.
8. Budget management: Develop and manage the marketing budget effectively monitor expenses and analyze the ROI.
9. Collaboration with other departments: Effective collaboration with other departments, such as editorial, design and production to ensure the smooth functioning of the magazine and to align the marketing initiatives with the magazine’s content and design.
Qualification and Skills
1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Journalism or a related field.
2. Minimum of three (3) years of hands on experience in marketing and sales, preferably in the publishing industry or related media fields.
3. Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients, advertisers and internal stakeholders.
4. Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
5. In depth knowledge of social media platforms and their respective best practices.
6. Ability to develop and execute marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital print and social media.
7. Proficiency in SEO techniques and digital marketing tools.
8. Knowledge of the magazine industry, including trends, competitors and reader preferences.
