About the job
As a food production assistant, your main responsibility is to contribute to the efficient and smooth operation of the food production process. You will be involved in various tasks related to preparing, processing, and packaging food products as well as ensuring good management and hygiene of the premises. Your role is crucial in ensuring the production of safe, high-quality food items for distribution and consumption.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Preparation:
Follow established recipes and instructions to prepare food ingredients. Plus, measure and mix ingredients accurately to ensure consistency and quality.
- Accurately measuring and mixing raw materials
2. Food Processing:
Operate and monitor machinery and equipment involved in the production process, such as mixers, forming machines, and packaging machines. Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the production area.
- Operation of mixer ensuring food emulsion is mixed to the correct consistency and quality
- Loading and operation of forming and packaging machine
3. Quality Control:
Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure products meet predetermined standards of taste, appearance, and texture. Identify and remove any defective or damaged products, adhering to quality control protocols.
- Ensure the emulsion has the correct consistency during the mixing process
- When using the forming machine ensure all products have the same quality
- Ensure packaging materials such as trays are not defective or contaminated
4. Inventory Management and Production Documentation:
Assist in inventory control by monitoring stock levels of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished products and updating the ERP system effectively. Maintain accurate production records, including batch numbers, production quantities, and any deviations from standard procedures. Record relevant data for quality control, inventory, and regulatory purposes.

5. Safety and Hygiene:
Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow proper hygiene practices, including wearing protective clothing, gloves, and hairnets, to prevent contamination and ensure a safe working environment.
- Daily disinfection of machinery, work surfaces, and factory premises
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience in the food manufacturing and quality control sector
- Experience operating industrial food equipment safely and effectively
- Management of ERP (ICT) Systems: Inputting of measurements and calculations related to inventory management and food production processes
