Business Development Lead:
We are seeking a highly motivated, process-oriented, and results-driven Business Development Lead to join our team. The Business Development Lead will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with potential clients, and driving revenue growth for the company. The ideal candidate has a strong sales background, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record selling innovative technologies in new market categories.

Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company’s client base and increase revenue.
- Build and maintain relationships with potential clients through organized, reliable, and effective communication.
- Conduct market research to identify potential target markets and industry trends.
- Help develop and implement processes to make our sales more organized, transparent, and predictable.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop strategies and promotional materials to support business development initiatives.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking activities to generate leads and represent the company.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients.
- Organize, pursue, and close deals, ensuring that all contractual and legal requirements are met in a systematic and detailed way.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless transition and successful implementation of new business deals.
- Provide regular reports and updates on business development activities and progress towards targets.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven track record in business development, sales, or a related role, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience selling an innovative or market-disrupting product to first-time buyers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
- Demonstrated ability to articulate ideas clearly, adapt communication style for different channels and stakeholders, and actively listen.
- Exceptional persistence, organization, and closing skills.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in CRM software and other relevant business tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Full-time, in-person availability within Nairobi, Kenya
- Willingness to travel as required.
