Key Requirements:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Accounts department.
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures.
- Supervise, coach, and train the Accounts staff.
- Generate Gross Profit reports on a weekly and Periodic basis and present them to management.
- Prepare weekly Suppliers & Debtors aging reports.
- Prepare payroll monthly.
- Ensure all general ledger accounts are updated in a timely manner and are accurate and reconciled monthly.
- Ensure all overheads are properly booked in the system.
- Review Balance Sheet reconciliations on a quarterly basis
- Support the Finance Director in preparing management accounts and year end audit preparation.
- Review and monitor performance versus the budget and reach out to teams to offer advice and guidance where need be.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and legal requirements.
- Continuously identify possible areas of improvement within the department to increase efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- CPA (K) qualification.
- 7 years’ experience with 3 years in managing a team.
- Experience working with SAP B1 will be an added advantage.
- Working knowledge of Tax laws and Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Strong financial analysis skills.
