ESM Mission Animation Program is seeking a highly motivated Social Worker Intern to join our organization. As a Social Worker Intern, you will have the opportunity to provide valuable support to our social workers in serving children, youth, and families within our community. Through this internship opportunity, you will gain hands-on experience in community development organizations and develop your skills as a social worker.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Assist social workers and program coordinator in developing and implementing beneficiary care plans
• Provide psychosocial support and guidance to children, youth, and their families
• Assist with case management duties, including documentation and record keeping
• Collaborate with other professionals to develop coordinated support plans
• Facilitate support training and workshops for beneficiaries
• Conduct assessments and evaluations of beneficiaries’ needs and resource availability
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions
Qualifications and Requirements
• A graduate or currently pursuing a course in Social work, or a related field.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong commitment to social justice and serving diverse populations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with case management and documentation requirements
• Experience in group facilitation or workshop development preferred
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical codes of conduct
