Responsibilities
1. Design, build, and maintain the data infrastructure required for our credit scoring models.
2. Collaborate with data science and software engineering teams to ensure that data is collected, processed, and stored efficiently.
3. Identify and implement ways to improve the performance and reliability of the data pipeline
4. Ensure that data quality is maintained throughout the data pipeline
5. Develop and maintain data models that support our credit scoring models
6. Develop and maintain ETL workflows that extract data from various sources, transform it, and load it into our data warehouse
7. Optimize queries and data processing algorithms to improve performance
8. Design and maintain data security and privacy policies
9. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues
10. Identify opportunities for data acquisition
11. Develop analytical tools, programs, and reports
12. Deliver updates to stakeholders based on analytics
13. Stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends in data engineering
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases such as MySQL or
- PostgreSQL Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka
- Familiarity with data modeling and ETL processes
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus
- Knowledge of credit scoring models and regulations is a plus
