Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team at Pitch Investors. As an Accountant, you will play a critical role in managing the financial operations of our company. You will be responsible for overseeing various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting decision-making processes.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to provide accurate and timely financial reports to management.
- Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense tracking.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with management to create and monitor budgets, providing insights into financial trends and potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and timely submission of tax returns. Prepare tax schedules and liaise with external auditors as needed.
- Payroll Processing: Handle payroll administration, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee compensation and benefits.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, identifying trends, variances, and financial performance indicators to support strategic decision-making.
- Cash Management: Monitor cash flow, optimize cash position, and forecast cash needs to ensure adequate liquidity for business operations.
- Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
- Auditing: Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support during the audit process.
- Financial Compliance: Keep abreast of accounting standards and regulatory changes, ensuring the company’s compliance with relevant financial laws and regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or relevant professional certification.
- Experience in the financial services or investment industry.
- Familiarity with investment valuation and financial modeling.
