World Waternet is looking to expand its team in Kenya with an admin officer to support the administrative task for the various projects. World Waternet has multiple ongoing projects and is also exploring new projects. The ongoing long-term programs are Blue Deal (partnership with WRA focusing on the Upper Tana region), WaterWorX (partnership with NCWSC), and Catchment 2 Tap (consortium with a.o. WWF Kenya targeting WRA and the wider IWRM sector). The admin officer will support all projects. Their is opportunity to combine this role with communication specialist and in that function develop a communication plan and content for LinkedIn, Twitter and various other platforms.

Tasks & responsibilities

The admin officer will take responsibility for various tasks which can include but are not limited to:

–         Arranging flights, hotels, and other logistics for Dutch Short-term Experts and consultants.

–         Make payments and declarations.

–         Maintain an accurate and up-to-date administration.

–         Support the Resident Project Manager in meetings incidentally and manage the agenda.

In case of communication skills:

–         Develop a communication plan.

–         Develop content for various platforms.

The admin officer will work together with the respective project managers of World Waternet and be offered a flex office. The candidate shall join the teams in the field occasionally to get a feeling with the work of World Waternet and the partners. The perfect candidate can demonstrate 5 years of working experience in an administrative function, is a good team player quick to respond to its managers. The candidate is quick with writing up meeting notes, letters, and memos in perfect English. Finally, the candidate is thorough in his/her work and very precise and timely on finance issues.

The position is for a probation period of 6 months with the intention to extend up to 2026.

Salary indication 60.000 – 105.000KES per month
