The GSCC is looking for a Project Coordinator with an understanding of predictive, agile, and hybrid project management frameworks to join its Project Management Unit (PMU).We are looking for someone with a passion for effective communication and creative problem solving – and who wants to put that use in the fight against climate change.These are vital moments in the struggle to save the planet and future generations from the worst impacts of climate change. It’s more important than ever that we integrate a structured approach to campaign initiatives to win the change we need.As our Project Coordinator you will work at the very heart of those efforts. You’ll support a network of digital campaigners and communications professionals around the world.In doing so, you will join a growing Project Management team that’s becoming a foundational part of the way the organisation and its partners deliver on strategic communications projects. This role reports to the PMU Lead.

How You’ll Contribute

  • Ensure that projects are delivered within time, budget, quality, and resource constraints.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess their needs and define project requirements, acceptance criteria, and project timelines.
  • Consult, collaborate and coordinate with key stakeholders on the design and implementation of appropriate solutions.
  • Act as a liaison between project team members and external stakeholders throughout the project life cycle.
  • Proactively build strong working relationships with key internal and external partners.
  • Help project leaders monitor project progress and provide relevant updates to project stakeholders.
  • Assist the PMU in the development of project templates and assets.
  • Where required, support the recruitment and onboarding of project professionals within the network.
  • Support capacity building within the network, with a key focus on communicating and implementing project management best practices.
  • Contribute to other aspects of the PMU

What You’ll Bring

  • We are looking for someone with practical experience in project coordination, with an aptitude for project tailoring.
  • Desired experience supporting and coordinating projects in support of national and multinational communications strategies.
  • Professional experience in project coordination and administration.
  • Proven ability to coordinate complex stakeholder relationships where competing agendas and priorities exist.
  • A good understanding of predictive, agile, and hybrid project management methodologies and the ability to tailor for the needs of a project.
  • Experience delivering communication and engagement as they apply to successful project coordination.
  • Ability to manage project risk.
  • The courage to bring ideas to the table, and to think about continuous improvement.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain accurate documentation with excellent attention to detail.
  • High level organisational skills with good attention to detail and ability to think laterally and conceptually.
  • Strong time and priority management, a high level of independence, and a can-do mentality
  • The disposition to work generously with colleagues in an international, multicultural community of peers, and the ability to work across international norms and values.
  • Strong collaboration skills and an ability to build trust with colleagues.
  • Versatile and adaptable skills necessary to flourish in a fast-paced and wide-ranging work environment where remote work is the norm.
  • Strong familiarity with communications and digital tools such as Slab, Google Drive, Monday, Trello, Slack, etc.
  • An excellent command of the English language, other languages a plus.
  • Professional certification such as CAPM, PRINCE2, PMP, DASM highly regarded.
  • An interest in climate and the environment.
  • A passion for excellence, and a desire to learn and grow.
