MEDIA COUNCIL OF KENYA MCK INDUSTRIAL PLACEMENT PROGRAMME CALL FOR APPLICATIONS JULY 2023
The Media Council of Kenya (MCK) in partnership with recognized media houses is implementing the MCK Industrial Placement Programme for the Financial Year 2023/2024, which is geared towards providing journalism students with practical work experience before graduation and to prepare them for the job market.
Duration of the Internship
The Placement Programme will be for a period of Three Months (August – October 2023). The Media Council of Kenya will provide a monthly stipend of up to KShs 15,000 for the students’ upkeep and accommodation.
Requirements
1. Final year students from a recognised university or middle-level college.
2. Recommendation letter from the university or college.
3. Academic transcripts for the current academic year.
4. Valid Student Identification Card.
5. Valid MCK Student Press Card 2023.
Placement
Succesful applicants will be placed in recognised media houses across the country.
Eligibility
Students pursuing degree or diploma in Journalism, Media Studies, Communications, Digital Media or Public Relations who meet the above requirements are eligible to apply.
