POSITION DESCRIPTION

As our salon Receptionist you’ll be part of building our culture of care and making sure our guests leave with a smile. Our growth is your success as you help us market and grow the business. We have a spot waiting for you!

Duties and responsibilities

  • Greeting and welcoming customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Warmly greet clients, walk them to the proper beauty station and inform assigned beauticians of their arrival.
  • Tending to customer needs, inquiries, and complaints.
  • Informing hairdressers and beauticians about customers at the salon.
  • Commitment to work a flexible schedule, including peak times
  • Dedication to great customer service
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively resolve customer issues
  • Managing customer care calls / customer follow up calls.
  • Ensuring that the reception area is kept clean and professional.
  • Assisting with marketing and sales by providing customers with information on promotions and new products and services.
  • Processing transactions and issuing receipts to clients.
  • Performing administrative tasks such as filing documents.
  • Ensure all sales orders are accurate and billed against the specific stylist.
  • ​​Welcome walk-ins, answer questions about services and schedule appointments based on availability.
  • Inform clients about new services and discounts.
  • Ensure to call clients for feedback.
  • Ensure to handle all client’s complaints on time.
  • Oversee daily salon operations i.e., flow of work at the salon is in order.
  • Ensure the daily reports are sent to CEO & Finance Manager
  • Ensure all salon receipts are correct and filed.
  • Managing office emails and reporting to the CEO.
  • Ensure posting of correct data in the POS.
  • Update client records with contact and billing details, appointments and services offered.
  • To assist with bookings accordingly.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS;

  • Required: 3- 5 years of experience in a similar role preferably in customer care, hospitality & retail industry.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Experience with reception desk, hospitality, retail, or customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortably handle escalated guest situations with composure and compassion.
  • Approachable, pleasant and spends the extra effort to put others at ease.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Effective organizational skills, able to handle multiple duties simultaneously.
  • Flexible and available to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Previous cash handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Good time management skills, good judgment, and the ability to multi-task.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills to communicate in a professional and courteous manner with customers, co-workers, and management.
  • Computer knowledge including but not limited to point-of-sale systems and data entry.
