Summary:
Our client in the education school located in Ngong seeks to hire a passionate and qualified Primary School Teacher (P1) to teach Mathematics and Science to students in upper primary. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in these subjects, along with a dedication to nurturing students’ academic and personal growth.
Responsibilities
- Create and deliver comprehensive lesson plans for Mathematics, while offering specialized instruction in either Mathematics or Science. Align the curriculum with educational standards and learning objectives.
- Employ innovative teaching methodologies that cater to diverse learning styles, ensuring each student’s unique potential is realized.
- Regularly evaluate students’ academic progress, providing constructive feedback to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that fosters active participation, mutual respect, and cooperation among students.
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians, providing regular updates on students’ progress and addressing any concerns with utmost care.
- Pursue ongoing professional development opportunities to stay updated with the latest teaching techniques, subject advancements, and educational trends.
- Participate in school-wide events, extracurricular activities, and initiatives that contribute to the overall development of students.
- Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and academic leaders to ensure an integrated and enriching learning experience for all students.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in education, Mathematics, and either Science or Language.
- P1 Certificate with a Distinction or Credit 2 in Mathematics.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in teaching Mathematics at the Primary Level (P1).
- Profound expertise in Mathematics, complemented by a deep understanding of either Science or Language.
- Passionate about nurturing young minds and creating an inspiring learning environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to integrate educational technology into classroom instruction.
- Commitment to continuous professional growth and a proactive approach to pedagogical development
