Finance Officer
Bliss Healthcare is the largest network of Outpatient Medical Centres in Kenya with 63 Centres across 37 counties in Kenya’s Urban and Rural Communities providing quality, accessible and affordable healthcare.
Job Type: Full-time based in Nairobi. Reports to: Chief Finance Officer.
Responsibilities:
• Accounts Receivable & Revenue Reconciliation – Coordinate with billing team and ensure proper reconciliations are done as well as ensure that all the bills are settled, revenue is correctly accounted and corresponding receipts are accounted. Providing the reconciliation and details of OP Cash Collection.
• MIS- Preparing the daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports.
Debtors – Prepare and Provide Debtor’s Ageing.
Book Closure – Ensuring timely accounting of all invoices, preparing prepaid & provisions trackers, and passing required JVs. Closing books of accounts of
respective units within the timelines provided.
• Accounts Payable- Ensuring timely accounting of vendor invoices, coordinating with relevant departments, and ensure the release of payments to vendors within the credit period. ⚫ Bank Reconciliation- Reconcile cash collection/receivable accounts and ensure all the receipts/payment entries, as appearing in bank statements, are accounted.
Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or other business-related fields from a recognized institution.
• Must be a qualified accountant with relevant professional qualifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) or ACCA.
. Minimum of 5 years of accounting and has worked in preparation of P&L accounts.
Core Competencies
• Must be good in Excel and good interaction with Hospital Management Systems.
Excellent grasp of Financial and Management Accounting: Taxation and relevant legislation.
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
Preparation of Financial Statements.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and regulations related to the healthcare sector.
Working knowledge of financial information management systems.
Communication skills including presentation and facilitation skills.
