Sage Payroll Consultant

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients to understand their payroll requirements, business processes, and workflows.
• Implement, configure, and customize Sage Payroll solutions based on the specific needs of each client.
• Provide expert guidance and consultancy to clients on best practices for payroll processes and compliance.
• Conduct training sessions for clients’ HR and payroll teams to ensure effective usage of the Sage Payroll software.
• Offer technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients for any payroll-related issues.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll legislation and ensure the Sage Payroll system remains compliant.
• Assist with data migration and integration of payroll systems, where applicable.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other business systems.
• Test and validate payroll configurations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation of payroll configurations and processes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend enhancements to maximize efficiency.
• Assist with the pre-sales process by providing product demonstrations and expertise to potential clients.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Sage Payroll Consultant or in a similar role.
• Certification in Sage VIP Classic and Sage VIP Premier is mandatory.
• Certification in Sage Business Cloud Payroll Professional (SBCPP) is essential.
• Solid understanding of payroll processes, statutory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Familiarity with payroll-related legislation, taxation, and labor laws in relevant regions.
• Experience in configuring and implementing payroll software solutions, preferably Sage Payroll.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex information to clients effectively and team members.
• Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a client-centric approach.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel, as required, for on-site client visits and meetings.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Additional certifications in HR or Payroll Management will be considered a plus.
• Experience with other HR and payroll software systems apart from Sage Payroll.
