Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and certified Sage Payroll Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in Sage VIP Classic, Sage VIP Premier, and Sage Business Cloud Payroll Professional (SBCPP). The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in implementing, configuring, and supporting Sage Payroll solutions. As a Sage Payroll Consultant, you will be responsible for understanding our clients’ payroll needs, providing expert advice, and ensuring seamless integration and compliance with payroll regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their payroll requirements, business processes, and workflows.
- Implement, configure, and customize Sage Payroll solutions based on the specific needs of each client.
- Provide expert guidance and consultancy to clients on best practices for payroll processes and compliance.
- Conduct training sessions for clients’ HR and payroll teams to ensure effective usage of the Sage Payroll software.
- Offer technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients for any payroll-related issues.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll legislation and ensure the Sage Payroll system remains compliant.
- Assist with data migration and integration of payroll systems, where applicable.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other business systems.
- Test and validate payroll configurations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation of payroll configurations and processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend enhancements to maximize efficiency.
- Assist with the pre-sales process by providing product demonstrations and expertise to potential clients.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Sage Payroll Consultant or in a similar role.
- Certification in Sage VIP Classic and Sage VIP Premier is mandatory.
- Certification in Sage Business Cloud Payroll Professional (SBCPP) is essential.
- Solid understanding of payroll processes, statutory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Familiarity with payroll-related legislation, taxation, and labor laws in relevant regions.
- Experience in configuring and implementing payroll software solutions, preferably Sage Payroll.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex information to clients effectively and team members.
- Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a client-centric approach.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel, as required, for on-site client visits and meetings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in HR or Payroll Management will be considered a plus.
- Experience with other HR and payroll software systems apart from Sage Payroll.
