Principal, Human Resource Management Officer

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducting consistent analysis for staffing needs and preparing annual human resource forecasts in consultation with departmental heads;
  • Facilitating staff recruitment;
  • Maintaining relevant staff records that will inform talent management efforts as well as career and succession plans for key resource people and key positions;
  • Implementing occupational health and safety policies and procedures;
  • Administering staff benefits and allowances;
  • Ensuring effective management and availability of human resources data; managing human resource records;
  • Implementing staff movement such as transfers, discharges, promotions;
  • Benchmarking the staff regulations with other organizations and recommend updates in line with changing circumstances.

Requirements for Appointment to this grade,

For appointment to this grade, an officer must:-

  • Have served for a minimum period of eight (8) years relevant work experience three (3) of which should have been at the level of Senior Officer;
  • Have Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines:Human Resource Management, Public Administration or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Have Post graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Business/Public Administration from a recognized Institution;
  • Have Certificate in Management Course from a recognized institution;
  • Membership to a relevant professional body;
  • Be proficient in computer applications;
  • Have demonstrated managerial, administrative and professional competence in work performance; and
  • Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.

 

Senior Administration Officer

 

Duties and Responsibilities Duties and responsibilities

  • Identifying and recommending proper accommodation of staff within the organization.
  • Facilitating the location and movement of equipment;
  • Implementing recommendations of security operations in the Agency premises; ensuring office machines are serviceable.
  • Implementing administration policies.
  • Providing cross-functional liaison for administrative matters; and
  • Coordinating renewal of insurance policies/visas/Transport Licensing Board certificates; monitoring the location of the equipment.
  • Providing transport and logistics;
  • Making proposals for rental management; safeguarding Agency assets; and overseeing weekly cleaning of offices and compound.

Requirements for Appointment to this grade.

For appointment to this grade, an officer must:

  • Have minimum period of  five (5) years relevant work experience.
  • Have bachelor’s degree in social science or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Have Certificate in Management Course from a recognized institution;
  • Be proficient in computer applications;
  • Membership to a relevant professional body;
  • Demonstrated merit and ability in work performance.
  • Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya

 

Internal Auditor

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Carrying out audit checks to identify any accounting errors.
  • Examining vouchers, cashbooks, ledgers confirming the propriety and accuracy of the transactions.
  • Examining all books of accounts of the Agency in accordance with the law, rules and regulations; carrying out audit checks to verify payments.
  • Preparing detailed audit observations.
  • Verifying statement of accounts.
  • Validating accuracy of payments and purchases;
  • Consolidating primary audit reports/queries on the Agency’s financial statements; and undertaking audit inspection at the Agency.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must:-

  • Have Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines:Commerce (Accounting/Finance option), Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; OR
  • Have Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Kenya Part III or Certified Internal Auditors (CIA) Part IV from a recognized institution;
  • Registered member of any of the following professional bodies:Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA);
  • Be proficient in computer applications; and
  • Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010
