Job Summary
- The position is responsible for implementation of the financial and accounting aspects of the Commission, budgeting, reporting, implementing policies and improving financial processes.
- Reporting to: Principal Finance and Account Officer
Duties and Responsibilities
Operational Responsibilities / Tasks
- Prepares payment vouchers and committal documents in accordance with approved procedures and regulations.
- Maintains ledgers.
- Maintains cash books and debtor registers.
- Prepares and dispatching debtor statements.
- Compiles and analyses information required in the budgetary process.
- Takes part in processing medium term expenditure and revised budget estimates and taking initial action on budget monitoring.
- Takes part in preparing budgets for recurrent and development votes.
- Takes part in counter checking expenditure commitments.
- Takes part in evaluating and scrutinizing expenditure proposals.
- Prepares briefs on budget and expenditure trends.
Requirement for Appointment
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Commerce (Finance option), Economics, Business Administration (Finance Option), Business Management (Finance option), Finance or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Required Functional Skills, Behavioral Competencies/Attributes;

Remuneration
- Basic salary : Ksh.56,775 – Ksh.80,000
- House Allowance : Ksh.28,000
- Commuter Allowance : Ksh.10,000
- Airtime Allowance : Ksh.1,500
