Role
- To maintain restaurant hygiene.
- Welcome guests and maintain high standards of restaurant hygiene as per Company SOPs.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Ensure that tables are ready to receive new guests by removing dirty dishes.
- Ensure clean table, mats, windows, chairs, shelves, floor, flowers and lampshades for the front of house.
- Assist the wait staff during busy shifts to reduce the customer wait time and ensure all meals are served hot and fresh.
- Channels any communication from the guests with the servers, hosts, chefs and barista’s to ensure an efficient working relationship.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer care technique and application
- KCSE Certification with minimum grade of C+
- Excellent verbal communication skills must be able to clearly communicate guests’ needs to managers
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to handle a fast-paced working environment
- Food safety training will be a plus
- Must have good menu knowledge
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and wipe
- Keen on details
Experience
- Work experience as a Busser, Food Runner or other entry-level role in a restaurant is a plus
Special Conditions of Employment
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, evenings and holidays
- Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours
