TrailMyCar Kenya, a vehicle tracking company, is seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in managing our financial operations and driving strategic planning efforts to support the growth and success of our business. *Responsibilities* :
• *Financial Operations Management* :
1. Lead and oversee all aspects of our financial operations, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, financial reporting, and budgeting.
2. Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and adherence to accounting principles.
3. Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize working capital.
• *Strategic Financial Planning* :
1. Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s business objectives and support its growth.
2. Conduct financial analysis to provide insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
3. Collaborate with the management team to identify opportunities for cost control and revenue enhancement.
*Compliance and Risk Management:*
1. Ensure compliance with relevant state regulations, accounting standards, and corporate policies.
2. Implement and maintain internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and improve operational efficiency.
3. Participate in financial auditing procedures and coordinate with external auditors.
• *Financial Reporting and Analysis:*
1. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and variance analysis.
2. Present financial information to the management team and stakeholders, providing meaningful insights and recommendations.
3. Monitor key financial metrics and trends, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
*Qualifications* :
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is mandatory.
• CPA (K) certification is required.
• Strong proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
• In-depth knowledge of finance, accounting principles, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, manage tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
