Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-

  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) minimum grad D (plain) oar equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Certificate in a relevant field from a recognized institution;
  • Served in the grade of Office Assistant [II Grade AD 2 in a comparable position for a minimum period of three (3) years;
  • Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Delivering mails and postage and maintaining a delivery register;
  • Moving and arranging office equipment and furniture;
  • Carrying out photocopying and document binding;
  • Maintaining general cleanliness around the area of deployment, collection and disposal of litter;
  • Performing general gardening and maintaining lawns;
  • Locking and opening office premises; :
  • Performing general gardening and maintaining lawns; and
  • Ensuring proper sanitation.

Successful candidates shall be employed on Permanent and Pensionable terms upon satisfactory completion of six (6) months’ probation period and subject to satisfactory performance as appraised by the respective supervisor.

ONLY Kibabii University staff on contract terms are required to apply for advertised positions.
