Impact Research and Development Organization (IRDO) [www.impact-rdo.org] is a registered Kenyan NGO with a main office in Kisumu and regional offices in six counties of Kenya. IRDO’s principal mandate is to design, implement and evaluate public health research and intervention programs that improve the health status of individuals and local communities. We are currently funded by Global Fund-NFM3 as a sub-recipient of Amref Health Africa in Kenya to implement Malaria Prevention Interventions in Migori, Siaya, and Busia counties. We are seeking to recruit highly motivated Project Volunteers to be deployed in each of the three counties.


Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, up-date and oversee the implementation of project work plans.
    Verify and confirm all collected from Community Units (CU) and Community Health Volunteers (CHVs) monthly reports before submission to the donor.
  • Ensure that project activities are carried out according to the laid down guidelines; coordinate with various stakeholders and SCHMTs to ensure smooth implementation of the project work plan and budget.
    Ensure every CHV in the supported CU get monthly targets for home management of malaria.
  • Ensure CUs are supported with planned activities as required by IRDO and the donor. Serve as a liaison person between the IRDO, staff, clients and the general community. Prepare and submit activity reports as per the attended activities.
    Minimum Qualifications
    Bachelor’s degree in Public health, Community Development and any other related social sciences
  • Students awaiting graduation or recently graduated (< 1 year) are preferred
