We are seeking an experienced monitoring, evaluation, and learning professional to help develop and strengthen our systems, approaches and strategies in our work. The ideal candidate understands the nuances of monitoring, evaluation and learning within a grantmaking or philanthropic organization. They think beyond the logical framework. They are excited about both collecting and sorting through piles of data that exist in many different forms together to analyze, explore and tell the story of ISDAO’s work collectively.

The ideal candidate is passionate about human rights, diversity, and inclusion, and is eager to contribute to strengthening the LGBTQI movement in West Africa, by helping to connect the dots of our work, the work of grantee partners, and the changes that we are all collectively contributing to. They think a lot about movements and movement building, and how to measure contributions to social change. They have a strong track record of working both within and across multiple teams and departments and are excellent facilitators.

This is a start-up role and is an opportunity for an entrepreneurial person to help us build. In their first 100 days, this person will take foundational work done on our MEL framework to concretize, finalize and launch our framework. Our next MEAL Officer is excited about leading strengthening systems and approaches to accountability, and will lead the development of our first “Accountability Report”. We are seeking someone who is infinitely curious and inquisitive, with deep listening skills. Someone who is eager to explore and introduce new ways of thinking and implementing monitoring, evaluation, and learning, including ways to implement and incorporate feminist approaches.
