Role Brief:
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to help manage supply chain operations and ensure efficient and cost-effective distribution of goods. The ideal candidate will have great record-keeping abilities and a customer-oriented approach.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organizing and managing inventory, storage, and transportation
- Utilize logistics IT to optimize procedures
- Keep logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders, etc.
- Analyzing and optimizing logistical procedures
- Reviewing, preparing, and routing purchase orders
- Ensuring the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of goods
- Addressing and resolving shipment and inventory issues
- Liaising and negotiating with suppliers and retailers
- Monitoring shipments, costs, timelines, and productivity
- Answering customer queries
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in logistics or a similar role
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Good management and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
